ASPIRE Highlights and What’s Next 📅

ASPIRE has come and gone, but it was fantastic to see so many of our chapter members there, reconnecting and interacting! Here's a great snapshot from the Alumni Homecoming outing. We’ve got a few exciting events coming up next week and in October, so be sure to check out the rest of the newsletter for all the details.

🚨 Reminder: If you haven’t yet, please be sure to fill out the FSO form. It’s a very quick form but crucial for maintaining our status as a Fulton Student Organization. All new and returning members must complete it.

Human Systems Engineering Lab Fair 🤖

Calling all new students! This lab fair introduces all the different research labs within the Human Systems Engineering department. Each lab will have graduate student representatives that you can talk to and understand the work and culture of that lab. It’s a great way to meet a ton of different people and explore the wide variety of research that our HSE department conducts.

HFES at ASU September General Meeting 📢

Get together with us as we recap recent events, discuss upcoming events, and go over different ways you can stay in touch with us. We’ll be serving free pizza! AND we’ll be raffling off an ASPIRE tshirt to one of the attendees!

Membership Dues

Movie Night: The Wild Robot 🎬

Join us as we go off-campus to watch the movie Wild Robot! This new movie follows a robot that explores an uninhabited island. The robot must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, and gradually builds relationships with animals on the island.

📅 Date: Thursday, October 3rd
⏰ Time: 6:10 PM
📍 Location: Harkins Theater at SanTan Village (2298 E Williams Field Rd)

🚗 Carpool: We’ve got a carpool set up! Currently, Jessica and Matt have volunteered to drive. Each can take 4 people from the Poly campus. If you're interested in carpooling, reach out to them for a spot!

🎟 Ticket Info: Please let us know ahead of time and submit payment so we can secure your ticket. If you decide to join last minute and purchase your ticket at the theater, we can’t guarantee you’ll be seated with the group.

💬 Post-Movie Discussion:
Afterwards, we’ll have a brief discussion of the movie and how the themes of the movie relate to human factors.

• If you're a new member, start by filling out the New Member Welcome Form. This helps us have your information for all our communication channels.

Fulton Student Organization Form

• All members need to submit the FSO Form so we can maintain our status as a student organization at ASU.

Membership Dues

• Pay your membership dues here. This is separate from the National HFES Student membership.
